On November 18 and 19, three faculty members from the Institute of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences Faculty of Medicine, visited Hanoi Medical University and Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Vietnam. At each of the institutions, they introduced an overview of their university and previous exchange activities, followed by discussions on promoting future collaborations. Additionally, they conducted tours of the medical education facilities and affiliated hospitals at both universities.

Kanazawa University signed an inter-university agreement with Hanoi Medical University and Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2009, and has accepted many international students from Vietnam for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Additionally, Kanazawa University has sent students, primarily 6th-year medical students, for a one-month clinical elective internship to both universities. Although there was a pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we plan to resume reciprocal student exchanges in the 2025 academic year. This visit marks a renewed commitment to further strengthening reciprocal international exchange, talent development, and training with medical schools in Vietnam.
