On February 19, Health Service Center held a "Casual French Cooking Class" as part of its student support program. 17 students, including 4 international students, and 5 faculty members participated in the class. Divided into six groups, the participating students learned how to make bouillabaisse, a warming soup rich in the flavor of seafood and savory vegetables, from Mr. Manabu Murakami, chef at "Meal", a restaurant in Kanazawa City.

After a cooking demonstration and explanation by instructor Murakami, including how to handle squid, each group worked together to make bouillabaisse while receiving direct instruction on any parts of the procedure that they did not understand and on cooking tips. After completing the dish, everyone enjoyed eating it together with fondant chocolat prepared by instructor Murakami. During the Q&A session, the participants were able to ask questions about how much water to add to the bouillabaisse, how to choose the right white wine, tips for making fondant au chocolat, and other topics related to hunting and bears, in which instructor Murakami is also involved.

Participating students commented, "It was interesting because I learned how to prepare food for the first time." "I have learned how to use white wine with fish and vegetables." "I would definitely participate again." "I enjoyed cooking and talking with the international students." "I was especially impressed by the stories of the hunters. It was a good opportunity to think about the current situation of hunters." In addition to such comments, many people expressed their desire to participate again next time.
