On February 27, Institute for Frontier Science Initiative hosted the 11th Institute for Frontier Science Initiative Symposium at MIRAICHI Research Center Open Floor, with about 35 participants from students, faculty, staff of Kanazawa University and companies.

This symposium is held annually to introduce the results of interdisciplinary research conducted in the research units of the Institute in an easy-to-understand manner. This year, three research units, the High-Speed Bio-AFM Application Research Unit, the Functional Supramolecular Materials Unit, and the Microbiome Research Unit, each presented innovative research results that transcend academic disciplines.

The symposium was attended by participants from a variety of fields, who engaged in a lively question-and-answer session and exchange of opinions throughout the symposium, deepening their understanding of interdisciplinary research.
